When should you use Water Eject?
Use it only when the phone is stable, ordinary audio plays and the remaining symptom is a muffled speaker or receiver. Identify the affected output, point it downward and run one controlled sequence at a strong but comfortable volume.
Wipe away droplets and return the phone to airflow. Clearer audio does not mean the connector or interior is dry, and it does not complete the hygiene process.
When can you charge the phone?
Wait until the phone and connector are dry. Apple’s general wet-iPhone guidance says to allow at least five hours before wired charging, while a liquid-detection alert may require checks over a longer period. Follow the alert on the device.
Do not use emergency override simply to test whether the phone still charges. A wet connection can corrode pins and cause permanent damage.
When should you seek service?
Seek help for repeated liquid alerts after drying, no audio, severe distortion, charging failure, heat, unexpected shutdowns, display changes, camera fogging or other symptoms beyond a muffled speaker.
